Fort Hill wasn't built in a day (or a year).
In fact, it took 2 years of construction to build the brewery you see today. Work on the brewery began in November 2012.
The property, once a hay field, has a fantastic view of the mountain range. The space has enough room for the barn-like building, silos, two rows of hops, and a BMX track (in the works).
While our equipment came from around the world, local contractors were responsible for much of the work that went into the brewery, including: Easthampton Waterworks, Lazy D Landscapes and Construction, Phillip's Plumbing & Heating, and Mercier Carpet. Their shirts now hang in the tasting room.
The equipment delivery posed great challenges in late 2013. Riggers from Cotton Tree Service helped to bring in the large brewhouse and to bring 27-foot tanks through a 26-foot door.
The purpose-built building is furnished with modern equipment to help its brewers make excellent, high quality lager beer. Stainless steel is abound because Fort Hill Brewery takes quality seriously.
